HDR in games isn't usually implemented well. I have the same TV (here in UK it's the 8088) and these are the settings I'm currently on which is suiting all media. On vivid mode it looks vivid and vibrant red , on standard it looks just red . As i stated in a reply on a different comment, my "Expert TV Picture settings" on my roku tv offer 11 point white balance, color management, and color space. This fixed it 100% for me. When I disable HDR on the PS4 PRO and set the TV's HDR mode to "ON," images pop off the screen with color. The colors are super washed out, the brights are dull and the blacks are boosted to like a grey-ish. I thought it too once I saw the PS4 UI go bright blue but that's because the UI isn't optimised for HDR so it's reading the "blue" differently. I've updated the monitor firmware and installed the latest driver for it. From here you can also "Adjust HDR" to tweak it to your TV. Don’t be using game mode for HDR. You got to pay to play. There's a massive loss in colour saturation and the blacks look greyed out. HDR give us a more true to life color and contrast. HDR turned on looks terrible and washed out. I find on certain games like wildlands or hitman if its broad daylight and the suns shining (in game) it will look abit washed but probably because it’s just really bright when the sun goes down abit colours are more defined?
